Here's an easy step-by-step guide to help you when encountering Adobe Reader's "At least one signature has problems" or "At least one signature is invalid" error.
This is likely because your installed copy of Adobe Reader (and other PDF view programs) does not have Advisor360 Express listed as a trusted identity. This is part of Advisor360 Express' security to ensure the validity of the document.
Steps to Add Advisor360 Express as a Trusted Identity:
- Open the Signature Panel on the left side by clicking the signature icon or the Signature Panel button within the blue banner.
- Click on the blue icon displayed below and select Show Signature Properties
- Click Show Signer's Certificate
- Review the Certificate details to ensure validity.
Switch to the Trust tab and click on Add to Trusted Identities - Click Add to Trusted Certificates
- Check all Checkboxes and click OK
- Click OK
- Click Validate Signature. The signature should now be valid until the certificate expires.
After completing all steps, you should receive a confirmation message.
Upon closing the window and the blue banner will should be updated to “Signed and all Signatures are valid”.
These instructions were written based on Adobe Acrobat Reader Continuous Version 2023. Steps may vary for other versions.
