Q&A
General Questions
Why did we transition to a Registration-Less signing experience?
The decision to go registration-less and to incorporate other enhancements into the new signing experience was based on consensus client feedback and is in line with the latest global standards of digital signing. As part of the validation process, the new experience has undergone legal opinions and extensive technical validation.
The new experience is designed to be more intuitive and convenient for end-client recipients.
Is this going to take effect for all types of roles?
No. This is meant for user level role, and will take effect to an account that haven't been registered in our system (new signer). If an account has a Publisher or Company Admin role, Registration-Less will NOT take effect to their account, and still be required to enter their password to sign a document. To learn more about the roles, see How To: Add, Edit, & Delete Users
Is a digital signature without registration legal?
Yes, the Advisor360 Express signing experience still meets all criteria for a legal digital signature. A user registration is not mandatory for the legality of the signature.
Are there any compliance or security risks associated with the enhanced signing experience?
The enhanced signing experience meets all legal and Advisor360 Express compliance requirements (incl. SOC 2, PCI compliance) as well as global standards for digital signing. However, given the sensitive nature of our client’s business, we do recommend that you communicate the changes with your compliance department to obtain their approval.
What if the signer spelled their name incorrectly?
If you rewind, the user can fix their name and sign again. If the user signs with the wrong name they cannot fix it after clicking save and send. If they close the agreement before clicking ‘save and send’, they can fix the typo if they load it again from the email link.
